When the leaves change color and the air turns crisp, the area comes alive with apple-picking, hayrides, fall festivals, and more. Celebrate the autumn season at Ohio’s Lake Erie Shores & Islands!

Sept 22 – Oct 28, 2012
Fall Harvest Activities
Burnham Orchards, 8019 State Route 113, Berlin Heights
Daily activities include: the Great Corn Maze Adventure – over a mile of trails and 260,000 corn stalks to challenge you, a pumpkin patch – walk through the patch and select the pumpkins of your choice, and pick your own. Additional weekend activities include: hayrides through the orchard and an antique tractor show. Special events are held on the weekends. Please call for details.

Port Clinton Area Harvest Festival
Madison St., Downtown Port Clinton
Fri 5-11:30 pm, Sat 10 am-11:30 pm, Sun 9-4:30 pm
Great food, entertainment, craft vendors and farmer’s market. “Party for the People, by the People”. The festival coincides with Port Clinton Alumni weekend. New for 2012: “Kids Zone” on the 200 block of Madison St.

Birmingham United Methodist Church, 15018 South St., Birmingham
Sat 9 am-4 pm, Sun 10:30 am-4 pm
$5/adult, children under 10 are free
Celebrate autumn’s harvest with more than 150 vendors offering antiques such as furniture, china, quilts & linens and crafts such as stained glass, jewelry, wood carvings, and handcrafted seasonal items. There will also be attractions such as a petting farm, wagon rides, a blacksmith, and wool spinning.

Apple Butter Fly-in
Erie-Ottawa Regional Airport, 3255 E. State Rd., Port Clinton
Featuring a good ol’ fall festival. Homemade apple butter will be made on-site as well as, apple pie and apple cider. Great fun for the whole family.

34th Annual Oak Harbor Apple Festival
Downtown Oak Harbor
Sat 9 am-11 pm, Sun 11 am-6 pm
Saturday events include a Kiddie Parade, Grande Parade, crowning of Apple Fest Queen, baking contest, Prettiest Baby Contest, kiddie tractor pull, talent contest, bingo and more. Sunday events include a Car Show, 5K run, and a smoke house at the Fire Station. A weekend of fun, food and entertainment. Shuttle available from the high school parking lot to downtown.
